What Is Findsio?
Findsio is an online location tracking software. The service finds the location of a phone without installing an app on the target device.
Findsio bundles up different services, including reverse phone lookup, finding a lost phone, and data leak checks.
The platform is operated by Creative Group, based in Zizkov, the Czech Republic. At the time of this review, Findsio did not operate any social media accounts. It only operates an FAQ section to answer user questions about their product.
Compatibility & Languages
Findsio works on any phone that can connect to the internet. It is compatible with all phone operators, allowing users to find phones without downloading and installing software.
While Findsio works worldwide, it would be great if it supported multiple languages. Unfortunately, the website is set in English, and we could not find a setting to change the language.
We reached out to customer support about this issue, and here’s their response:

We tried the recommended steps, but we found that Findsio does not have a language feature on the account page.
Is Findsio Legit or A Scam?
Findsio is a legitimate and safe website for tracking phone numbers with consent. According to the Findsio Terms of Service, you have to be of legal age to use it, and the recipient of the location tracking link has the right to refuse tracking.
Our research found that the findsio.com domain was registered in 2022. We checked to see if it provides secure communication using SSL and found that it has a valid SSL certificate. This means that it protects sensitive information like login credentials and financial details.

How Does Findsio Work?
The main Findsio feature is tracking a phone’s location using its mobile number. The platform generates a location tracking link and sends it to a phone via text message or messaging apps like WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram chats.
When the person clicks the link, Findsio obtains the phone’s IP location, such as a city (you will see “IP Located” on Findsio dashboard). Next, the person can allow access to their location through a pop-up notification. If so, you will see the “GPS Tracked” and their precise location on Findsio online dashboard.
There are other features such as reverse phone lookup, sending voice messages, and a data breach checker.
To use Findsio location tracker, you need to create an account and subscribe:
- Start phone number search on the Findsio main page. The service will evaluate the possibility of location tracking and offer you to sign up for a trial to get precise location.
- Provide your email address and press Continue. Then add your payment card details and tap Submit order. You’ll get the details for access in your email.
- Then log in through the burger menu in the top-right corner of the Findsio main page.
Locate Phone by Number on Findsio
- Access the dashboard and click Location by Number.
- Enter the mobile number of the cell phone you want to find in the search field. It will open a message box where you can choose predefined messages.
- During my review, I could not edit any of the messages. I found the predefined ones pretty rigid and only ideal for students or anyone in school. Thus, it would be difficult for anyone not in education to click the message and consequently show their location.
- After choosing a predefined message, click Confirm to send the message to the target’s mobile phone.
- Then you need to wait when the person clicks the link in the SMS. As I tested Findsio with my second number, I could see what it looks like on the target phone.
The target person doesn’t see that the text message is from you or Findsio. On their phone, the sender is “InfoSMS”. But they need to allow the use of their device’s location for Findsio to track them.
In the end, they see some business website, so it isn’t so suspicious apart from the location request. If they click, you’ll see their precise location on a map (in my experiment, it was accurate up to 30 meters). The coordinates provided in the Findsio dashboard were incorrect, though.

Note: During my other test, there were problems with sending tracking SMS. The Findsio customer support told me to send one message every three hours — not the best solution when you need to track someone immediately.
Get Location by Link
The location by link feature can locate a phone with a direct link that is not embedded in the message. When the person clicks the link and provides access to their device’s location (whether phone or PC), Findsio will show it on a map on the dashboard.
To use the location by link feature:
- Click Location by Link. This feature allows you to send a link or an image. I chose the Send a link option.
- It opens a page where you can name the link. Enter the text that will name the link (anything) and click Generate my Link. Findsio will generate the link.
- Copy the link and send it to the person you want to track using messaging apps like WhatsApp or Messenger.
- Although you name the link, the text won’t carry over with the link. You can add a message to go with the link like “Hey, Is this you I saw here?” This can prompt the person to give access to their location.
- During my review, I sent the link and added some text.
- When the person clicked the link, Findsio showed me the phone’s general location. While it was not specific, I found it helpful if you do not know a person’s whereabouts.
Note: The “Location by Link” tool gives you freedom with the text accompanying the tracking link. Still, it is not anonymous compared to the “Location by Number” option.
Reverse Phone Lookup
Findsio claims it may find out information about the owner of a phone number. There is a reverse lookup feature for that. It can also dig data like the carrier’s name and its country.
This feature can be useful if you don’t know who is calling. It can help you decide whether to pick up a call or not. Besides, you can confirm if it’s coming from the country it seems to be calling from, to avoid phishing scams and telemarketers.
In my testing, I could search by number or username.

The search by number provided the phone number’s carrier, country, and timezone. Findsio did not find out the owner’s name or whether it had been reported for spamming.

My search with a username yielded results with websites where the username had been used. Still, it looked weird that the first website for “Katy Perry” was not the singer’s Instagram but a Korean blog.

Send Voice Message
This feature is as straightforward as it sounds. You can send a voice message to a target phone number. The owner will receive an anonymous call. Then your message will be read by a robot. Sounds a bit creepy, but during my test, this feature did not send a voice message to my target’s phone. It said “Unreachable destination phone”.

Data Breach Checker
A data breach can lead to identity theft, financial loss, and damage to your reputation. Some of the biggest data breaches in recent times include the National Public Data (NPD) data leak, which handles billions of personal records.
If your information has been found in a data breach, hackers can sell it online. You can check if your information has been found in a data leak, so you can secure it, like changing to secure passwords.
To use the Findsio Data Leak Checker:
- Open the Findsio dashboard and click Data Leak Checker.
- Enter your email address or phone number in the search bar and click search.
- Findsio will show you the breaches and the source if available. In my data leak check, Findsio found nine data breaches, but it did not find their sources. Nonetheless, I could access my accounts from the websites with the breaches and change the passwords.
Can You Find Your Lost Phone with Findsio?
Findsio claims it can find a lost phone. It has an option to send a message to a missing phone. You can use this feature to inform the person who finds the lost phone how to reach you and the reward they will receive by returning the phone.
This is another feature that did not work. The text was not sent to the smartphone even though Findsio indicated it had sent the message to the target phone.

Findsio Price
Findsio is subscription-based with a price of $49.80 per month. You can pay by card using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, etc.
The platform offers a one-day trial for $0.89 and charges monthly until cancelled within the trial period. If you are unsatisfied with the service, you can request a refund within 14 days of the subscription date.
How Do I Unsubscribe from Findsio?
To unsubscribe from Findsio, access your Findsio dashboard and click the profile button in the top-right corner. This will open a page with Account Settings and My Subscriptions.
You will see an option to cancel your subscription. Findsio will confirm that you have unsubscribed from the platform or through email.
Customer Support
Findsio offers 24/7 English customer support via phone at +420 2100 12260. You can also contact customer support directly from the Findsio homepage via email.
You will see a Support button at the bottom. When you click it, Findsio will give you a small pop-up window where you will enter your name, email address, and the subject of your inquiry.

Findsio Pros and Cons
So, let’s sum up. Here are some advantages and disadvantages of Findsio that emerged from our research.
Pros:
- finds location through a tracking link that can be sent to the phone number or any messaging app;
- does not require installation on the phone;
- works on all phone models and mobile networks.
Cons:
- some features don’t work, or their effectiveness depends on your region;

Conclusion
After our Findsio review, we concluded that the platform still requires fine-tuning. Its main features — location tracking by number and link — worked well, but other features need improvement.
