HeyLocate Blog Content Methodology
General Principles
HeyLocate’s mission is to inform readers about the capabilities of modern technologies, ensure proper and comprehensive utilization of smartphone functionality and specialized software, and help readers make informed and well-considered decisions when selecting and/or purchasing such software.
HeyLocate is a free platform, and we don’t charge for what the user does on our website, including using forms for tracking phones or anything else. But when a user goes through third-party links or is being redirected there, the third-party websites may request a fee for their services. It’s the user’s responsibility to pay attention to which site/service they are using and paying for at the moment. These payments are in no way related to HeyLocate.
While we may receive affiliate commissions from some partners featured in our reviews, this in no way affects the objectivity of our content or increases the price of these products for readers. Furthermore, if you remain unsatisfied with a purchased product and request a refund, we also earn nothing. Therefore, it is in our best interest to provide only honest and verified information.
Our core principles are:
- Customer-centricity: We study reader inquiries to identify high-demand topics, particularly those with limited comprehensive answers available online. We approach each piece of content from a consumer perspective, considering what concerns readers and what they would want to learn from each specific article. This influences our writing style as well: articles are written in language that is accessible and understandable to readers.
- Personal experience: We strive to test every service we describe in our articles. Product review articles always include a complete testing process: from download and installation on our devices to unsubscription and deletion.
- Expert verification: Although our authors are experts in their field, every article undergoes additional verification by technical experts to ensure maximum accuracy and relevance of information.
Content Creation Process
- Research reader inquiries to select the most relevant topics, gathering questions that concern readers but lack comprehensive and/or truthful answers online. Monitor industry news and new services/applications to be first to review them.
- Conduct in-depth research of the topic/service/product, analyze existing online materials to avoid duplicating content already written by others, and present current information considering all nuances.
- Gather information from primary sources (official service/product websites), search for relevant official statistics/fresh data and research when appropriate. Active links to primary sources are always maintained in the text for verification of information accuracy.
- Conduct service/product testing, often simultaneously across different OS platforms (Android, iOS, Windows, Mac).
- Analyze user reviews online. Consult with our contributors who share their experience with already tested services/products.
- Contact service/product support to clarify information or find answers to common reader questions.
- Compare services/products with each other to demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of each.
- Create photo/video materials of testing, photo collages for visual instruction on service/product usage.
- Expert review of the material by industry specialists.
- Add internal links to other HeyLocate blog articles and the HeyLocate Glossary that may help readers better understand the topic.
- Publish the material on the website and share links on social media.
Post-Publication
- We monitor industry news and update previously published articles as necessary, in case of changes or updates to the written information/service/products.
- We carefully monitor reader feedback on our materials and respond to questions, suggestions, and recommendations. After verifying information from readers, the material may be refined and improved.
