Method 1: Using Google Maps

One of the options to track your device is doing so with the help of Google Maps – the most common map application in the world. This app can be useful not only by leading you to a destination, but also by tracking other people’s locations and locations of lost or stolen iPhones along with them. Another option is to track the phone using Find My app on Apple Watch.

Note: this method will work only if the phone is nearby and connected to the watch via Bluetooth or the same Wi-Fi.

Sounds good to you? Let’s get it done, then:

1. Press the side button on the watch, the control center should appear.
2. You’re supposed to see a green icon that indicates the Bluetooth connection to the iPhone.
3. If your devices are connected, there will be a phone icon on the control center; tap it and when you do so, the phone will respond with a ping tone; follow it until you locate the missing iPhone.

Method 3: Using Third-Party Software

2. The site will let you create and send a custom link (it looks like a normal message).
3. Share it via SMS, WhatsApp, or any messenger.

   • device type and more.

Note: This only works if the user interacts with the link, and using it without their knowledge may violate privacy laws.

If you’re trying to locate your own lost iPhone, and you suspect it’s still connected to the internet, you could send such a link to it via messaging apps like WhatsApp or Telegram, in hopes that someone on the other end interacts with it, helping you identify a general location.

If it is applicable to you, try asking the person who has access to the Phone to share their location through messengers. Most of them (Telegram/WhatsApp/Viber) have this function, and it is really easy to use.
